Hi Bobby. I’ve just seen some coverage from IRCHA Jamboree. Your flight was awesome, but what you did with the money… Way to go Bobby. Huge respect to you!

Hey fellas,
I was wondering if you guys had planned an episode covering any of the following. If not, here are my suggestions:
- Aftermarket electric motors and nitro engine/pipe setups. For instance, “what is the ideal Kv motor I should put in “X” heli running “3/4/5/6/8/10/12C” as well as what ESC to use? As for Nitro engine/pipe combos, the nitro setup vid was great, but it didnt touch too much on what some great pipes are for some of these engines, as well as choosing an engine for a heli. Alot of us know the O.S. 55 and Funtech B320 pipe is an awesome combo, as well as the O.S. 91HZ with a Hatori pipe, but some may not.
- Aftermarket upgrade pro’s and con’s. Blades, paddles, metal this, carbon fiber that, KDE this, KBDD that, etc…
- Choosing the right blades and pro’s and con’s. Main, tail, standard size, oversize, carbon fiber, fiberglass, FB, FBL, etc…
I would also say FBL system setup and system comparisons as well as small electrics, but you guys mentioned on a few episodes about those already so Ill stay tuned for those.
)
Keep up the great work guys, and congrats Bobby for winning IRCHA and donating.

Do either of you use any Expo at all? If so, what’s a lot and what’s not? I am using none right now, but I think my hovering finesse might improve a little with some – but I am afraid of loosing snappiness…
Thanks,
Great Videos Guys!
Keep up the good work!

Hi Bert and Bobby.
Thanks for your efforts, the vids are inspiring and have given me much needed guts to go and try some daring (to me!) manoeuveres. You two should (PLEASE!) consider visiting us here in South Africa, I would love to see you guys in action and it would really boost the hobby here. Best wishes, Anton

I know that the cc esc people have done a video on how to setup the auto feature on electrics, but you and Matt B. have it down pretty solid. I would be intersted in seeing your version of your setup procedure. Btw cudos on your flying at IRCHA and being a class act for the hobby. I lost my wife to MS a couple of years ago… what you did was Very special, Thank you for helping with the fight.

Hi Bert and Bobby!
A friend of mine told me about your videos and I absolutely love them. They came at the right time because I’m having a difficult time making progress as fast as I would like so I’m taking your advice and back to the “basics” it is. One thing I like is humor. All the tech stuff is awesome but once the knowledge is past I really love Chicken wing. I’m retired military and have met rc flyers here and abroad and this is what to me Chicken wing represents, the humorous and some times pain in the butt but well liked guy at the field. I hope you continue to have him in the videos. He’s as real as it gets, I really like the bastard

I love your site and videos! But you check list needs a “Check radio switch positions” line. I had several problems when I started out because I forgot to check my switches. When I was still a total noob I didn’t realize the idle up switch was on when I started my Raptor 30. If it would have been a bigger model I would now be known as, “That headless guy.”
Just a thought.

Where is any of the training for doing a auto which in my mind is one of the most important things to learn for these guys. Heck, I would love to see one that covers the basic for them and include flipping autos…backwards autos etc for the rest of us.
You guys are doing a great job with these videos and they will really help a lot of people.
Thanks so much.

Hey Bert and Bobby,
Do you guys have any suggestions to maximize Simulator time?
Did you find it helpful to speed up/slow down the time in the simulator, fly with heavy winds setup?
Thanks!

You need to let us post questions to Rick! He is a fountain of untapped wisdom! Please consider this idea, who knows what humanity could learn from him if we only gave him the chance to enlighten us?!

Hi Guys
So I was thinking maybe you can set up a way to highlight the Episodes that were not purchase yet by the the singled out buyers. when I go to the download page some Episodes should be a different color to show that they were not purchase yet as a reminder to the customer.

I agree with Shawnee in #15.
Also, need a way to change that 17 character password that is given to us. Better to have a password that we can remember.
Keep up the great work and thanks for the 50% off. I used it to get all the episodes.
Thanks,

Great job guys. One suggestion would be to have some video of ‘new’ flyers added for the folks who are starting out. It can be a bit daunting learning to hover (etc). In the video’s you guys are so good that it looks too easy. Maybe footage video including a ‘beginner’ mistakes and ways to correct/recover. Keep up the great work!
+1 on the small electrics. Advantages and disadvantages of them (for learning?) ..including tails (belt/tt vs tail motors). Advantages of having plastic head parts while learning vs aluminum, etc.

Hi Guys,
One tidbit of info relating to the demos & competitions video that may be helpful informatin for people trying to mix their music is about the beats in songs (especially dance/club music).
Most music is in what DJs may call ‘phrases’ and each phrase is typically 32 beats (sometimes 64). This can be helpful in trying to mix at times (beats) that help the music flow nice. Things can be mixed up like crazy such as alternating between 2 or more songs (4 beats from song1, then 4 beats from song2, alternating between the 2 songs (it’s like 2 songs playing at once (deckA and deckB) and you simply knock the fader side to side from one deck to the other deck every 4,8 (whatever) beats) …and many DJ software programs can be configured to set that to be instant via a key on the computer vs having the small time where the music is really mixng, or playing both songs at the same time).
Once someone knows this and beatcounts in songs, it seems almost common sense or ‘natural’.
Hope that’s helpful….

Hi Guys,
Great video on the hovering! Just a suggestion from me as a newbie, you might want to cover those small electric helis (hovering, build etc) as they are pretty common to new starters and somewhat within the budget of many rc heli fans.
I bet it’ll be a great challenge for you guys to deal with smaller parts and less stability (not that you guys can’t fly them of course). Cheers

I can’t quite believe that you even charge people for something like a theme song…
Not saying that I’m disappointed but the taste isn’t good imho…

Hey,
Just wanted to say that out of all the instructional videos I’ve watched since getting into the hobby, yours are by far the most entertaining. I often find myself getting bored and distracted form instructional materials, but that’s just not the case with smacktalk. Keep up the good work guys, I’m looking forward to new videos, especially anything pertaining to small electrics, and the continuation of Bobby’s 101 series.
Thanks
